September 2008 Update:
The Long Term Planning Committee continues to work with the Parish Council to provide solutions for problems identified through the parish assessment. There has been a bit of work performed on the parish campus, some more visible than others. Due to the normally hot weather during our parish picnic, there was a need for ventilation in the room behind the kitchen, so two exhaust vents were installed to allow heat to escape from this room, primarily for the picnic preparation and picnic day. Safety has also been improved in this room by installing a steel pipe extension of the natural gas system. This pipe installation shortens the length of flexible gas line running through the room, again primarily used on picnic day. Throughout the Community Center Building, the gap between the window frames and the ceiling material has been closed with aluminum trim. This work was done to complete the separation between the attic space and the interior room spaces in the classrooms and the cafeteria area.
